"TEAM GRIT"

 

TEAM GRIT has multiple divisions in order to give everyone an opportunity to test their fitness. This wide selection accomodates all fitness levels, from the seasoned vet to the beginner athlete and everything inbetween. Below you will find a description for each division.  

The workouts are designed to test a teams ability to work together in various combinations. Teams will have to develop a strategy on how to best utilize each team member throughout the day. A teams performance may get tested with Power and/or Olympic Lifting, Endurance, Gymnastics, Plyometrics and other uncommon tasks. These movements will be programmed in a variety of ways and teams will compete against each other to determine who is the BEST TEAM!!!

Once you register for a specific division you will not be allowed to transfer to another division at a later time and no refunds will be awarded after registration is complete. However, TEAM GRIT does allow athletes to transfer their registration to another athlete within the same division. You must email info@teamgritcompetition.com with the name of the registered athlete and the name of the athlete accepting the transferred spot.


SCALED DIVISION: 

This division is for those athletes that scale workouts on a regular basis. These athletes are new to the sport of fitness, first time competitors, have some limitations that keeps them from competing at a higher level or they just want to have fun with their friends. The load, skill requirement and volume will be scaled down.

The Scaled division will consist of 4-person male or 4-person female teams but the movements and weights will be scaled. All teams are guaranteed 4 workouts with the top 5 teams advancing to a final WOD. A prize bag will be awarded to the podium.

 

 

 * REMEMBER MOST WORKOUTS WILL ALLOW MOVEMENTS TO BE PARTITIONED HOWEVER THE TEAMS DECIDES. So if there is a movement you can not perform you most likely will not have to perform it. If a workout requires you to perform an exercise you can not complete there will be penalty but the team will not be disqualified from the competition. 



OPEN DIVISIONS: 

This division will have workouts similiar to the CrossFit OPEN. This division is for athletes that perform all or most of the OPEN workouts RX. 

Master athletes that are able to RX the standard CrossFit OPEN workouts are encouraged to register for the OPEN division. 

The OPEN division will consist of 4-person male or 4-person female teams. All teams are guaranteed 4 workouts with the top 5 teams advancing to the final WOD. There is a cash prize that will be awarded.

 Load Guide

 

The chart below is simply a guide. The column on the left indicates the movement. The row on the top indicates the division. Cross-reference the chart to find the loads. The load is a working weight and can vary by twenty pounds heavier or lighter. You may or may not see all these lifts in your division. *Use the working weight as a guide per individual athlete on the team. *TEAM GRIT will honor and adhere to its representations regarding the below-referenced skills and load prescriptions as is reasonably possible. Notwithstanding same, TEAM GRIT does reserve the right to make changes to Events due to unforeseen circumstances, athlete skill levels, equipment, staff, time, etc.
